MIAMI: Upon learning that the annual Kidscreen Summit had been relocated from New York City to Miami, The Kitchen jumped right in and developed it’s first annual “Welcome to Miami Kidscreen” party, which was held this past Tuesday, February 24, 2015, in a blocked off street –party atmosphere, set up directly in front of The Kitchen, with music, food, drink and videos—Miami Style.
Over 600 Kidscreen attendees, who were given a free trolley ride direct from the summit’s hotel to the dubbing studios, grabbed a mojito and followed the red carpet into the building, to experience, first-hand, how dubbing works.
With all 14 studios open to attendees to try their hand, or voice, at dubbing some of their favorite children’s television characters, the halls of The Kitchen were jumping with excitement.
“Our “Welcome to Miami Kidscreen” party was even better and bigger than we expected,” Deeny Kaplan, Executive Vice President of the Emmy Award Winning dubbing studios explained.“It was a thrill to see our colleagues, friends, clients and potential clients, from around the globe come to our house…meet our amazingly talented crew, and see our dubbing studios in action.Of course, the Miami flair in so unique and welcoming…..I know that everyone had a great time!”
“We are looking forward to hosting the Kidscreen attendees again next year,” Kaplan concluded, “and to welcoming some of the very best children’s programming professionals back to Miami, and The Kitchen”.
