MIAMI CITY OFFICIALS NAME FEBRUARY 24, 2015 AS THE OFFICIAL “DAY OF THE KITCHEN”
MIAMI: Miami City Manager, Daniel Alfonso, led the congratulatory remarks, as Ken Lorber, President/CEO and Deeny Kaplan, Executive Vice President, of The Kitchen, received a well-deserved proclamation, from the City of Miami, formally introducing what is now known as “The Kitchen” Building, located at 265 NE 24th Street, in Miami.
As the Proclamation states, “Whereas: The City of Miami acknowledges the extraordinary contributions of the media and entertainment industry in Miami, its brilliance and excellence, adding world-wide acclaim to Miami’s cultural diversity; and
Whereas: The Kitchen, owned and operated buy Deeny Kaplan and Ken Lorber, has become known around the globe for top quality dubbing of TV shows and feature films, and
Whereas: Providing multi-language programming that employs more actors on a monthly basis than anyone else in the City, The Kitchen is the only EMMY Award winning language dubbing studio in the world, and
Whereas: Throughout their careers Deeny Kaplan and Ken Lorber have distinguished themselves as trail blazers, and visionaries with a strong sense for community; and
Whereas: The Kitchen uses its experience and expertise in the entertainment and production industry to build a better and bigger production world here in South Florida; and
Whereas: It is therefore just and appropriate that local authorities, on behalf of the citizens of the City of Miami, join Deeny Kaplan and Ken Lorber in celebrating the dedication of The Kitchen Building.
Now therefore: I, Tomas P. Regalado, Mayor of the City of Miami, Florida, do hereby join other local officials to proclaim Tuesday, the twenty-fourth day of February, in the year two thousand and fifteen, as
