Señal News: "The Kitchen Promotes Leia Fell-Murray to Senior Manager of Global Operations"

Leia Fell-Murray has been promoted to the newly created position of Senior Manager of Global Operations at The Kitchen. In her new role, she will oversee the studio’s global Project Manager teams and supervise assignments from concept through delivery.

Fell-Murray joined The Kitchen in 2021 as a Project Manager and now celebrates her fifth anniversary with the Emmy Award-winning language studio in her expanded leadership capacity. During her tenure, she has played a key role within the international team, implementing platforms and systems designed to improve efficiency, streamline workflows and enhance operational adaptability. She will continue collaborating closely with internal teams to further optimise processes across the organisation.

“My goal is to create processes internally that will allow our teams to focus more on delivering exceptional work, and less on administrative complexity,” said Fell-Murray regarding her appointment as Senior Manager of Global Operations. “As our industry continues to evolve, staying adaptable and embracing innovation will always be key.”

Fell-Murray graduated from Duoc UC in Santiago, Chile, where she began translating films for friends and classmates, marking her introduction to the world of localisation. She later studied at the New York Film Academy and worked as a videographer, video editor and subtitle editor before relocating to Miami. “Localization brings together several of my greatest interests: production, language, music, film and television,” she commented. “It's a unique intersection where creativity, technology, and cultures meet; allowing content to connect with audiences around the world.”

Her bilingual background in Latin Spanish and American English, along with her strong cultural ties and broad skill set, has enabled her to contribute to a wide range of notable projects across multiple global markets.

“Every market, client and audience has its own cultural nuances, priorities and expectations. Truly understanding a global community means recognizing that there is rarely a one-size-fits-all approach. Having lived in multiple countries myself, working with clients from around the world, has taught me the importance of adaptability, cultural awareness and clear communication. At the end of the day, it’s about building trust and ensuring that content resonates authentically with the audiences it is intended for,” Fell-Murray concluded.

“Leia has a secure and seasoned approach to working with clients, and as Head of Global Sales and Marketing for the studio,” added Deeny Kaplan, “I know that handing off any new project to Leia and her team, is bound to be headed for success.”
